| Preparation Method: | The cultivation of gourd has to be started in the month of Ashwin (September-October). Some hole has to be created in the land with one-and-half feet length, width and deep. Rotten cow dung, oil-cake and compost fertilizer are mixed to put into the hole. After 15 days four seeds have to be sowed in each hole. Before the plants take creeper size a platform has to be made with bamboo and gi wire. To protect it from insect water boiled with neem leaves or tobacco leaves should be used instead of insecticide. And then they have to be regularly watered for taking care. Two months after sowing the seeds crops will start to come. When the production of bottle gourd comes nearing to end snake gourd seeds have to be sowed. By the time the crops will start to come in snake gourd tree the bottle gourd tree will die down. Without any additional labor snake gourd can be produced. |
