For planting seeds, a floating seed bed must be made with coir, tepapana (Pistia stratiotes) and dulalilata (Potamogeton alpinus). The germinated vegetable seeds must be planted into the seed bed. After 5 or 6 days, the lichen and water hyacinth of the bottom portion of the floating step must be spread in the root of vegetable plants.
